Hockey player Sergey Lomanov
Sergey Ivanovich Lomanov is a Soviet and Russian hockey player and coach. He is an honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1979), Honored Trainer of Russia (1999), honorary citizen of the city of Krasnoyarsk (2001).
Sergey began playing hockey with a ball from the age of seven in the children's club “Brigantine” at the Krasmash plant together with his older brother Victor. From 1974 and for the next 15 years he played for the Krasnoyarsk hockey team Yenisei. As part of this team, Sergey became a ten-time champion of the USSR, winning all the championships in a row. In total in the championships of the USSR, the hockey player spent 330 matches and scored 582 goals. And in the national team from 1975 to 1993, he scored 196 goals. Sergey Lomanov is the only hockey player who scored more than 1,200 goals in official matches during his sports career.
After making a personal hockey career, Sergey began to engage in coaching in order to ppare new champions and develop hockey in Russia at a higher level. By the way, Lomanov’s son - Sergey Sergeyevich Lomanov - followed in the footsteps of his father and also became a famous hockey player.
