Coal mine Borodinsky

The largest coal mine in Russia is located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 7 km from the town of Borodino. The section is 7 km long and 2 km wide - it's like 2,000 football fields! Coal mining is carried out all year round, maximum is in winter time - the volume of shipment reaches up to a thousand wagons per day. In total, the company produces about 20 million tons of coal per year. If the cars with coal, which were mined at the Borodino opencast in the entire history, are aligned in one line, you can go around the equator 8 times!

The Borodino open pit provides employment for about 1,500 people and another 1,200 people work in the service enterprises of the open pit.
