Siberian Maslenitsa is back after two-year break

Last weekend in Sukhobuzimskoye the traditional Maslenitsa celebrations, which had been held for the last time in 2020, took place. This time the event gathered over 18 thousand people and become really a folk one.  The ice ground of the Tourist Information Centre of Krasnoyarsk region became a new interactive attraction, which attracted special attention of the guest of Sukhobuzimskoye.

More games, entertainments and interactive grounds – this has become the particular feature of the Siberian Maslenitsa, which has returned after two-year break. Horses sleigh riding and horseback riding, traditional Cossacks games, and demonstration performances of Cossacks, a concert program, defile in folk costumes by the participants of the competition Sudarynya Maslenitsa, exhibition of effigies of  winter, competitive rides  of the participants of competition Creative Sleigh, animators, merry-go-rounds, free puppet show for the youngest guests and more were provided at the Maslenitsa celebrations. The ice ground of the Tourist Information Centre of Krasnoyarsk region gained special popularity:

– It’s great that at such folk festivities we not only can experience Maslenitsa traditions, but we can also have informative time.  At the ice ground we were told about the beauties of Yenisey Siberia, treated with tasty herbal tea and bagels – this is the real Siberian hospitality! And we have seriously thought of a future trip to Ergaki, that has been chosen for us by a special pdictor, – a guest of the Siberian Maslenitsa in Sukhobuzimskoye Elizaveta Yurchenko said.  

Especially hot competitions happened near the amusement pillar – excited men were ready to conquer the top again and again. And even when all 10 prizes had been won, the interest to the amusement didn’t disappear – people climbed on it just for fun, to test their forces. The lucky ones, who could take the number tag from the Maslenitsa pillar, got souvenirs with the beauties of Krasnoyarsk region. The main prize under number 7 was a certificate for a trip around Yenisey Siberia.  

– We have come to Sukhobuzimskoye for many years to see off the winter  and to call the spring with round dances, pancakes and Cossacks amusements. I always take part in the competitions at the Maslenitsa pillar. But this year it has become especially happy for me – I’ve managed to get one of the prizes for the first time!  – one of the event’s participants Ivan Fedoseev told about his lucky event.

Broad Maslenitsa celebrations succeeded – the residents of Krasnoyarsk region ate over 12 thousand pancakes in Sukhobuzimskoye, had real fun and saw the winter off.
