Lesosibirsk Forest Museum

The history of emergence and formation of the city of Lesosibirsk is tightly connected with wood industry. This is why the Forest Museum was founded here. Today three unique expositions, devoted to pservation, industrial use and regrowth of the forest work in the museum.

So, at the exposition Yenisei Taiga you will get acquainted with the diversity of forest, wading, field and water birds and plants, included into the Red Book of Russia. You will also watch the life of ants. The exposition On Forest Protection touches on the important aspects of ecology, reforestation and nature protecting activity of people. The City of Forest exposition will tell how a small settlement Maklakovo grew into a large centre of sawmilling and wood chemistry – Lesosibirsk.
