Festival “Minusinsk tomato”

Minusinsk basin is the most fertile land for all farmers, and tomato is the brand of this area. Here tomatoes grow especially tasty, juicy, fleshy and very large. Every year at the end of August, farmers meet in Minusinsk at the festival “Minusinsk tomato” to boast of their rich harvest. Tourists love to come here for fresh village products and unique works of local craftsmen. Excursions to model gardens are also popular. Also a colorful costume parade, festivities, master classes and many different entertainment venues will be ppared for festival guests.

“Minusinsk tomato” takes place on the third Saturday of August and annually gathers about 8 000 participants and guests. Among them, residents from cities and regions of Krasnoyarsk Region, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk Regions, the Republics of Khakassia and Tyva.
