RUFrom July 1, railway passengers are guaranteed a refund in case of emergency
On July 1, a document came into effect that guarantees railway passengers a refund in case of flight cancellation in several cases.
The Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 20, 2020 N 901 states the following:
if the trip did not take place due to the threat of individual emergencies or when a high alert or emergency regime is introduced throughout the country (or some part of it), the passenger has the right to:
● travel along the same route in a train and carriage of the same class no later than 12 months after the termination of the above circumstances;
● receive the full cost of travel and baggage within 12 months.
Information about the cancellation of the train departure and the actions of passengers in this situation should be posted on the website of the railway carrier.
