Monument to V.I. Lenin

Perhaps there is no city in the former Soviet Union where a monument to the leader of the revolution has not been erected. Well, V.I. Lenin was connected with Krasnoyarsk a lot: it was here that he spent the whole three years, from 1897 to 1900. He lived for several months in the city itself, awaiting the appointment of an exile. The opening date, April 22, 1970, was not chosen by chance. On this day, Vladimir Ilyich would have turned one hundred years old.

Krasnoyarsk monument to V.I. Lenin was not only installed on such a momentous day, it also immediately received the status of one of the best in the Soviet Union.
