The Krasnoyarsk Krai will develop the longest tourist route in the world.
The route is called ‘The Great Northern Expedition’, it repeats the path of the legendary Kamchatka expeditions led by Vitus Bering.
At psent, the cities of Dudinka, Yeniseisk, Kansk, Krasnoyarsk and Turukhansk are already included in the project.
A set of tours has been developed within the region, excursions and audio guides have been created.
In order for tourists from all over the world and residents of the Krasnoyarsk Krai to try themselves in the role of great travelers, it is recommended to download the computer educational program ‘Vitus Bering's Expedition’ in advance - it was ppared on the basis of the mobile interactive exhibition of the same name.

The project of creating a route from Europe to Kamchatka through the whole of Russia was also supported by the Ural and Siberian cities, St. Petersburg and a number of European countries.
In October, on the Zvezda TV channel, with the support of the Russian Geographical Society, a series of programs ‘Following in the footsteps of Vitus Bering’ started.
The famous actor and TV psenter Ararat Keshchyan, together with the film crew, travels along the route of the great commander and discoverer.
The project unites 111 cities in 42 regions of Russia.
