Registration for October geological excursions is in progress

The guides of the ‘Museum of Geology of Central Siberia ‘GEOS’ urge everyone to return to the earth and learn more about its rocks once again.

► October 4 - hike to the Torgashinsky ridge. Geo-tourists will have an excursion into its history: they will have the opportunity to study the rocks that were born at the bottom of the ancient sea and enjoy the beautiful views of the modern landscape. The length is about 5 km.

► October 11 - excursion to the Beautiful Coast.  Museum specialists will show the terraces of the Yenisei and tell about its geological activities in the area of Akademgorodok,. Tourists will have the opportunity to see some of the oldest rocks, formed during the Vendian period (670-570 million years ago). The length is over 2 kilometers.

► October 18 - hike to the Red Ridge. Participants of the hike will learn about the nature of the Takmak and Stolby rock massif, see limestone of unusual colors and understand why they got such a color. The length is about 5 km.

► October 25 - excursion to the ‘White Horse’. This is one of the ‘smallest’ GEOS hiking excursions: tourists meet near the famous sculptural composition on Strelka and listen to a lecture on the geology and history of Krasnoyarsk.

By the way, everyone has the opportunity to turn a geological campaign into an ecological one with one movement of the hand: just take a bag with you, in which you will put non-decomposable waste along the way :)
