The visit centre Serebryaniy Log has got its name from the brook which flows in this place all year round and forms a pond. According to the local historians’ opinion, on Russia’s territory ponds and brooks have been often named Serebryaniy (“silver’ from Russian), and the word “silver”  was a synonym for the word “health”. According to the legend, if one washes himself with  spring water from the pond, he will be protected from grieves and illnesses for several years. And if you believe the legends, Russian military people, who inhabited  the Yenisey banks, used to find real sliver here.
