In Pokrovsky park on Karaulnaya mountain a visit centre for tourists has opened
Since June, the visit centre has worked in the test mode and has already served over 5000 visitors. Here you can learn about Krasnoyarsk, its main sights and the history of the orthodox religion in the region. The visitors can have a rest in the centre after walking, drink some coffee, buy souvenirs and use the restroom. The centre works every day from 10:00 to 19:00 on week days, and from 10:00 to 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The new visit centre is planned to become a venue for thematic events: lectures, creative meetings and master classes.
“In summer, at the peak of the tourism season, together with Krasnoyarsk eparchy we have opened the visit centre near the most principle symbol of our city – the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel. This is a vibrant place, where you can always meet a lot of Krasnoyarsk residents and guests of the city. The administrator of the centre meets the guests and helps them with any information - this is a contemporary and friendly format of communication with tourists. We try to make each guest of Krasnoyarsk leave the city with the warmest memories”, - Alyona Kochanova, the councilor for tourism of the Head of the city, told.
Karaulnaya mountain with the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel is one of the most popular places in the city among tourists. From here, excellent views of the city and its suburbs can be seen.
