Snowboarder Nikolai Olyunin

Nikolai Igorevich Olyunin - silver medalist in the Sochi Olympic Games in snowboarding, the man who won Russia's first Olympic award in this sport.

Since childhood, Nikolai Olyunin has been actively involved in sports: he played basketball, soccer, participated in hockey tournaments, and from six years he went skiing, and later on snowboarding, which soon became his main interest.

After a sports take-off and numerous victories, in 2018, the Krasnoyarsk athlete received a serious leg injury during a semifinal snowboard cross-country race at the Olympic Games in Korea. Olyunin faced a large number of operations in Russia and abroad, as well as a course of complex rehabilitation.
