Festival of folk culture “Sibirskaya Maslenitsa"

On March, from 10:00 to 16:00, the traditional festival of folk culture “Sibirskaya Maslenitsa” will be held in the village of Sukhobuzimskoye. These are large-scale festivities with the capture of the “Snow Town”, funny Pancake week games and fun, ancient rites, a wide fair and pancake tasting. As culmination of the “Sibirskaya Maslenitsa” will be a theatrical reconstruction of the ancient Siberian fun of the XVIII-XIX centuries-the capture of the “Snow Town” based on the famous painting by Vasily Surikov. Large-scale action will take place under the leadership of the Cossack society. Then all the participants and guests of the holiday will have fun to see off already boring winter. On a concert platform the effigy of Maslenitsa will burst into a bright flame and the mass round dance will spin.
