The Russian Geographical Society invites you to a scientific expedition!

The Russian Geographical Society invites historians, geodesists, mapmakers, geologists, oceanologists, volcanologists, biologists, searchers and other specialists to join a scientific expedition!
Participants will be selected on a competitive basis. Two teams will go to the Arctic: the first will work in August, the second from August to October. The members of the expedition will search for underwater historical objects in the area of the Northern Island of Novaya Zemlya, Novosibirsk and Lyakhovsky Islands, De Long Islands, Wrangel Island, Chukotka Peninsula, Severnaya Zemlya and Franz Josef Land. Experts will have to explore the objects of cultural and natural heritage located on these islands, and will continue to search for historical artifacts. The researchers will also visit Taimyr.
‘The complex expedition to the Arctic archipelagos will be dedicated to several memorable dates at once: The 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, the 175th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society, the 110th anniversary of the Hydrographic Expedition of the Arctic Ocean, the 120th anniversary of the Russian Polar Expedition and the 145th anniversary of the birth of the famous Arctic explorer Vladimir Rusanov,’ inform the organizers of the project.
