Krasnoyarsk International Airport named after. D. A. Khvorostovsky summed up the results of the third quarter of 2020

In the third quarter of 2020, the airport handled 596,793 passengers, a 3.7 times increase from the pvious period when the airport received 145,733 passengers. Also, the passenger figure for the third quarter exceeded the first quarter by 9%, when 545,016 people were served (before the pandemic). In relation to the indicator of the same period of 2019, the level of passenger traffic lags by 22%, as international traffic from the airport is still closed and to carry out flights abroad can be from a limited number of Russian airports.

 Passenger traffic fell by 18% in the final month of the third quarter of 2020 against August to 194,426, due to the end of the holiday season. September 2020 in relation to September 2019 lags behind by 18% when the passenger figure was 235,657.

 

Cargo air travel for the three quarters of 2020 breaks records compared to 2019 figures and accounts for 2,328 landing operations, 4 times more than in 2019 when the airport Krasnoyarsk was serviced 573 aircraft. The third quarter of this year for cargo transportation shows negative dynamics to the pvious quarter in 2 times, which is natural and is related to the growth of passenger air transportation, seasonality of the industry and reconstruction of the trunk taxiway. 

The number of cargo boards in September fell by half in relation to August 2020, exceeded the figure of last year by 2.7 times and amounted to 129 landing operations, which is due to temporary restriction of the runway.

The total number of aircraft for the third quarter was 3,778, up from the second quarter by 27% when 2,763 aircraft were serviced and below the 2019 figure of 4,610 aircraft) by 18%. In September, the indicator showed negative dynamics in relation to August 2020 by 23% and amounted to 1,141 aircraft.

Popular destinations in the third quarter and in September of this year were: Moscow, Sochi, Novosibirsk, Norilsk, Simferopol and Anapa.
