Norilsk Trail 2025 Race

For the fourth time the race will gather the trail runners of the country on Taimyr. The mass starts in six distances will take place on the 23^rd of August 2025 with the support the Nornickel company and the City Administration of Norilsk. The registration is available on the event’s web-site: norilsktrail.ru.

In  2024 over 250 professional athletes and amateurs from 35 cities of the country became the participants of the race.

The future participants of the race are offered with the choice of six distances, which are symbolically named after the animals living in the arctic zones:

– the most mass one is again the Polar Fox, 5 km. This is a simple running distance, which is perfect for getting acquainted with trail and Taimyr’s nature. Any beginner athlete will afford this route at a leisurely pace;   

– the Reindeer for 15 km is many times more difficult, this route requires serious training and endurance. This is an optimal variant for team overcoming;

– the types of lap distance for 30 km Sapsan can turn the head of even  the most experienced trail runner and resident of Taimyr. High level of physical training is required;

– the most powerful one of all the distances for 50 km Polar Bear with the ascent of 1 840 m, but the most picturesque at the same time. This route is for professionals only. The strong and hardy ones will see breathtaking panoramas of the peninsula’s beauties.

Children can take part in the race as well at the fun distances Lemming for 500 m (for young athletes under 10 years old) and 1 km (for children above 11 years).
