August fair in Yeniseysk

In mid-August, a quiet old town in the North of the region, seems to come to life... On the streets of Yeniseysk there are folk festivals with songs and dances, bells ring from churches, competitions, master classes and tastings of traditional Yeniseysk cuisine are held everywhere, unique Souvenirs with Siberian character are sold on national farmsteads, and free walking tours of the historical part of the city are held. Almost everything, as in the XVII-early XIX centuries, when the August fair was a major interregional trade center, and Moscow, Kazan, St. Petersburg, European, Asian, Siberian merchants came here and brought a variety of goods.
