Crafts Hut in Stepnoy Badzhey

“Crafts Hut” is a small center of rural culture, work and life, which was opened in 2015 in the village of Stepnaya Badzhey, in the Mansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Here you will see expositions of folk crafts, objects and tools of masters of the XIX-XX centuries, remember how our grandfathers and great-grandfathers lived. You can see how many things they had in the village: haymaking, reaping, arable land, truck farming,  cattle breeding, horse breeding, saddlery, weaving, blacksmithing, logging, carpentry, logging of huts, stove making, carpentry, woodcarving, birch-bark weaving , wickerwork, beekeeping, pottery, fishing, hunting, knitting from wool, felting felt boots, stocking of wild plants ... And how people valued coopers, shoemakers, furriers, resin, miners-miners-miners, diggers of wells ... People had so many activities, and only a few of them in the house-flock-shed, but most in the courtyard: cattle-mud-shavings-sawdust-dung-hay; in the field: heat-rain-slush-gadfly with a finger; in the taiga: cold-ford-midge-bears ... Life is difficult, simple, straightforward, but, despite everything, joyful.
