Yeniseisk Museum of Local Lore named after A.I. Kytmanov

The Yeniseisk Museum of Local Lore named after A.I. Kytmanov is situated in Yeniseisk. The museum’s collection contains over 55 items, which reflect the region’s history form the ancient times the psent days.

The museum, opened in 1883, is unique, because this here where you can find the exhibits telling about the exploration of the Norther Sea Way, information about the first Siberian expeditions, going from Yeniseisk, as well as the exhibits devoted to  the winterer Semen Dezhnev, who was the first to open the strait between Asia and America.
