As you may have guessed, we will talk about the father of Siberian cities - Yeniseisk

How to get to Yeniseisk?

Option number 1: car

You need to go along the P-409 highway (“Yenisei tract”). Distance - 340 km, travel time ~ 4-5 hours. For the anniversary of the city in 2019, the Yenisei tract was successfully modernized. The way to the city will be comfortable, as there are 24-hour roadside cafes and warm toilets.

Option number 2: rail transport

Suburban train from Krasnoyarsk to Lesosibirsk (travel time - 10 hours). You can get from Lesosibirsk to the city of Yeniseisk by shuttle bus (travel time ~ 50 min).

Option number 3: bus

Regular buses leave from Krasnoyarsk bus station to Yeniseisk every day. Travel time is about 5 hours.

Option number 4: motor ship

From June to October, a river service is organized from Krasnoyarsk to Yeniseisk Travel time - 17 hours.

Feel the special atmosphere of an ancient Siberian city, plunge into the quiet and measured life of the Yenisei people without traffic jams, delays and multitasking mode.

August Fair is traditionally held since 1785. It was here that merchants from all over the state came and traders from Europe and Asia for Siberian wealth - furs.

Kytmanov Yenisei Museum of Local Lore  is one of the oldest museums in Siberia. It contains a unique collection of household items from the Yenisei Siberians.

The plane museum is the only one in Russia and, probably, in the world. The unique exposition was awarded the Gold Star of the Russian Book of Records, and it is also included in the Guinness Book of Records.

Coachman's Compound - a few years ago Evgeny Pavlov found three stirrups in a friend's shed, and the unusual collection of the saddlery museum began with them. The owner of the unusual exposition not only collects parts of a horse-drawn carriage, but also arranges horse-drawn rides on a sleigh and a phaeton.

Waterfront is a long coastline of the city, developed to celebrate the 400th anniversary, with a magnificent view of the Yenisei River valley, serves as a point of attraction for residents and tourists.

The monastery lake, which is located 28 km from the city, is saturated with ancient myths and legends, according to some legends it has medicinal properties.




Where to have a snack?

On the way to Yeniseysk (191 km of the Yeniseysky tract, Kazachinskoye village) there is a cafe "Ostrovok", its menu includes dishes of the traditional Yenisei cuisine - dumplings with venison, maral soup, stroganin from Sohatina liver, whitefish ukha.
