The holy source of Panteleimon the Healer in the village Bolshoye ozero of the Sharypovsky District gained wide popularity in the 12th century. Pilgrims reached out to him even from Kievan Rus. And after that, a legend, born among ancient people, who inhabited this territory millennia ago, spad all over the place. This legend was about the miraculous healing of a girl who was blind from her birth.

At the weekends, many religious people gather at the healing spring: these days Orthodox services are held here. Also, every year, on August the 9th, they hold a grand celebration in honor of Saint Panteleimon the healer, whose name was given to the wonderful spring.
