Welcome to Krasnoyarsk Krai!
Krasnoyarsk Krai is one of the most unusual and unique corners of Russia. Our krai of contrasts received into itself the rare natural objects, which exist nowhere else in the world.
The proportions of Krasnoyarsk Krai are deeply impressed. The region ranks second in area size after Yakutia, stretching more than 3,000 km from the Sayan Mountains to the Arctic Ocean. Thanks to its position Krasnoyarsk Krai has a capacity for developing as north-polar tourism as beach recreation.
The Yenisei is the thoroughfare and the largest river system in Russia with a length of 3,500 km. It flows through all climatic zones of Siberia.
If you go up North, you can see the permafrost areas. The Taymyr Peninsula is the largest peninsula in the Far North of Russia, where the northernmost point of the mainland of Eurasia – Cape Chelyuskin – is situated, which is disposed above the Arctic Circle. The geographical center of Russian Federation is located in Evenkia by Lake Vivi.
An urban locality Shushenskoye is situated in the south of the krai. It is a modern center of ethno-tourism. This old time corner is located on the bank of the River Shush near the place of its confluence to the Yenisei. Also, a historical Siberian town Minusinsk is disposed in the south, which has the title “Tomato Capital of the Krai”. It is a representative of Russian small towns.

The administrative center of the krai is Krasnoyarsk, the great city on the great river. The mountains, which give to this place a peculiar charm, surround the city from all sides. Krasnoyarsk is a city of bridges, fountains, theatres, and one of the largest hydro-electric power stations in the world. There is a national nature reserve Stolby in the immediate vicinity of Krasnoyarsk. This city is the Motherland of painters and sportsmen, power engineers, dancers, and singers. This is a city with the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel, the Triumphal Arch, and a clock tower named Big Ben,which became the specific cultural patterns.
Krasnoyarsk is an important junction of the Trans-Siberian Railway, so you have no difficulty to get there by railway transport. Yemelyanovo International Airport accommodates the flights from around the world. The through service provides the scheduled flights between Krasnoyarsk and such countries as Vietnam, China, Thailand, Turkey, India, Kirghizia, Azerbaijan and many others.

The Town of Yeniseysk, the Open Air Museum
Yeniseysk is a town with rich history and traditions, which has saved its original appearance so far. It is a memorial town, entered into a list of 115 historical towns of Russia and into a preliminary UNESCO world heritage register. Proudly overlooking temples give to the town an inimitable image and flair. They impress with their greatness and originality of architectural ensemble.
